Protect your Drip form from bots
In short: To stop spam on a Drip embedded form, copy its code from Forms › Embedded forms › Settings and code, run it through the SpamKill Setup Wizard and paste the protected code on your page. SpamKill checks every signup without a CAPTCHA and real subscribers still reach Drip. It takes about 10 minutes.
Bots are signing fake addresses up to your Drip account. Protect your Drip embedded form with SpamKill and real subscribers keep arriving in Drip, on your own thank-you page if you set one. Drip's Onsite pop-ups run on Drip's script, so this guide covers embedded forms.

Create your embedded form
Where: DripFormsEmbedded forms
In Drip, click Forms in the sidebar and then Create (1). Your new form starts with First Name and Email Address. To ask for more, open Fields and click New field (2).
You should see: The form editor, with a preview of your form.
Already have an embedded form?
Open it from the Forms list and go on to step 2.
Set your thank-you page
Where: DripFormsYour formSubmission
Open the Submission section. On the Thank You tab, tick Redirect to a custom thank-you page (1) and enter the full address of your thank-you page in the box below it. Click Done (2) to save. Leave it unticked to show Drip's own thank-you page.
You should see: Your thank-you page's address under Redirect to a custom thank-you page.
Copy the embed code
Where: DripFormsYour form
Click Settings and code at the top right (1). In Embed this form on your site, click in the box of code (2), select all of it and copy it.
You should see: The form code on your clipboard. It starts with <style>.
Paste it into the Setup Wizard
Where: SpamKill ConsoleSetup Wizard
In the SpamKill Console, click Setup Wizard in the sidebar. If your site isn't on WordPress, click No under Is your website developed in WordPress?. Paste the Drip code into the box (1).
You should see: Tips under the box, then Generate Protected Code.
Generate the protected code
Where: SpamKill ConsoleSetup Wizard
Click Generate Protected Code. SpamKill asks you to check the email field: it should be fields[email] (1). Click Yes, protect my form (2).
You should see: Replace the existing code with this code on your website, above your protected code.
Put the code on your page
Where: Your website editor
Copy the protected code. Open your page in your website editor and paste the code where the form should go, replacing any old Drip form code. Save and publish the page. Then click Next in the wizard. You can keep Drip's site script on your pages.
You should see: Your page shows the form's fields and a Sign Up button.
Does your site style the form by field name?
SpamKill renames the fields, and the wizard lists the old and new names. Update any CSS or scripts that point at the old names. Drip's own styling uses the form's id, which SpamKill keeps.
Test it twice
Open your page in a private window. Submit the form with [email protected] (1). Then submit it again with an address you can recognise. You land on your thank-you page, and the person appears under People (2), with Submitted the "Form #1" form (your form's name) in their activity (3).
The first try shows That email address doesn't look right.
The second try appears under People, with the name you entered.
Back in the wizard, click Both Tests Passed.
You should see: Your thank-you page after the second try, or Drip's Thank you for signing up! if you didn't set one.
Your Drip form is protected
- Bots are stopped before they reach Drip.
- Real leads arrive exactly as before, with no extra steps for them.
- Every block is logged in your SpamKill dashboard.

Visitors see Drip's thank-you page instead of mine
Open the form in Drip, go to Submission › Thank You, tick Redirect to a custom thank-you page, enter your page and click Done. You don't need to change the code on your page.
The form submits, but nobody appears in Drip
Check the live page has the protected code: its form sends to protect.spamkill.dev. Drip's People list can also take a reload to show new signups.
A real visitor was told their email doesn't look right
SpamKill checks for missing @ symbols, extra spaces and common typos. The visitor can click Go back to the form, fix the address and send again.
I added fields to the form later
Copy the code from Settings and code again, repeat steps 4 to 6 and replace the code on your page.
Changed your mind? Undo in under a minute
